Oporto, the second largest city of Portugal, is known world-wide as the home of Port Wine. We make our way to Vila Nova de Gaia, the hill on the left bank of the Douro River, bee-hived with Port wine cellars to visit W & J GRAHAM'S, boasting a beautiful view of the city and quality samples of White and Red Port.
We then cruise the river Douro, passing by the original and quaint "Barcos Rabelos", laden with their pipes of wine and with their huge, square sails, to its four bridges and experience the city's spectacular views from a different angle. From Vila Nova de Gaia we are transported to Oporto (the other side of the river), to have free time for lunch and to wander through the streets of the "Cidade Invicta" (the invincible city).
